CODM Season 5: 5 Things They Got Right — and 5 We’re Still Waiting For

Call of Duty Mobile Season 5 dropped with a bang—but did it hit the target? While the surface-level hype is real (new maps, flashy cosmetics, seasonal events), it’s time for a debrief with brutal honesty. Let’s break down what actually works and what still needs extraction.

Here’s what CODM Season 5 nailed—and failed.

✅ 5 Things They Got Right

1. The Return of Suldal Harbor

Bringing back Suldal Harbor was a tactical win. Classic feel, tight map flow, solid vertical cover—CODM players love a balanced arena, and this one encourages both sniping and rush plays. Props to the devs for resurrecting a map with legacy charm.

2. Customized Scorestreak Progression

Finally, some nuance. Allowing players to tailor scorestreak loadouts opens up strategic builds for different playstyles. Whether you're a UAV spammer or a stealth drone loyalist, this flexibility feels long overdue.

3. Event Progression System Streamlining

Less grind, more reward clarity. The new event tracker layout is smoother and more informative. Casuals and grinders alike benefit from a system that doesn’t feel like a second job. It’s tactical UX, finally.

4. Weapon Balance Pass (Mostly)

Some long-overdue nerfs and buffs (looking at you, Holger and R9-0). The meta didn’t get flipped on its head, but adjustments added breathing space for underused weapons. More of this, please.

5. Battle Pass Content & Skins

Love it or hate it, CODM’s BP art team is still top-tier. The character skins this season? Stylish without being absurd. The weapon skins? Tactical edge with a touch of sci-fi. They walk the fine line between flashy and functional.

❌ 5 Things Still Missing the Mark

1. Persistent Server Lag in BR

Multiplayer’s smooth enough, but Battle Royale lag still breaks immersion. Rubberbanding, delayed hit regs, server crashes—none of this belongs in a game this polished. For a billion-dollar franchise, it's an amateur oversight.

2. Limited Tactical Innovation in Multiplayer Modes

Seasonal modes are starting to feel like palette swaps. Where’s the risk? Where’s the reinvention? Even a one-life tactical mode or a hardcore variant could shake things up. Right now, it's mostly rinse and repeat.

3. Outdated Clan War System

This system is practically fossilized. Minimal motivation, bad UI, no real social engine. Clans should feel like squads with purpose—not neglected bulletin boards. We need clan-exclusive game modes, shop items, and live competitions.

4. Lack of Anti-Cheat Transparency

The silence is deafening. Cheaters are still a plague, and communication from the devs on detection and bans is vague at best. We need clear reporting outcomes, weekly ban wave reports, and in-game flagging systems.

5. Map Rotation Still Feels RNG-Based

Why can’t we vote or veto maps in 2025? Being forced into the same two maps for hours is a mental slog. Let the player base influence map pools, especially in Ranked. CODM has the library—use it smartly.

🎙️ Final Call from the Field

CODM S5 is not a failure—but it’s not a full W either. Tactical improvements have been made, but the fundamentals are still begging for attention. If the devs want to keep the hardcore community engaged, they need to stop playing it safe and start going surgical.

CODM’s Gundam Collab vs PUBG’s Transformers Showdown

by DocDeth – Frag & Forge 🚀 INTRO: The Collab War Begins There was a time when game collaborations were mythical. Rare, exciting, and meant to celebrate fandoms . Today? Collabs are dropping every month — and most of them are shallow brand deals designed to drain your wallet and leave you with flashy junk you’ll uninstall in a week. But once in a while, two titans collide . When I heard that Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM) was collaborating with Gundam , and PUBG Mobile was bringing in the Transformers , I raised an eyebrow. These aren't just brands. These are pop culture powerhouses . Childhoods were built on them. So the question is obvious: Who did it better? Who respected the mech legacy — and who cashed in without soul? ⚙️ PART 1: CODM x Gundam – A Tactical, Glorious Machine Let’s talk CODM first — the Gundam collab hit hard and fast . For context, Gundam is not just about giant robots; it’s a cultural phenomenon , especially in Asia. CODM le...
